- A typical stay at a facility will last for between five and 10 days, and is also dependent upon the above factors.
During a client’s stay at the detox facility, his or her progress will be constantly monitored by experienced medical personnel.
We provide a comfortable, serene environment where our clients can feel safe and secure as they start the healing process by ridding themselves of the influence of drugs and alcohol.
Comfort measures are offered, as needed, including medications, to treat the symptoms of withdrawal.
We ensure proper medical and personal care of each client before admission into our drug and alcohol treatment center. We arrange a smooth discharge from detox programs into our residential treatment program. Transportation will be provided upon discharge from the detox center.
Upon admission to our inpatient treatment program, clients are examined by a medical doctor and a psychiatrist to ensure they are ready for treatment During this time, our staff develops an individualized treatment plan. This plan is comprehensive, and includes all client health, mental health, and family information as pertinent to long-term treatment of addiction.
Detox is the first and most critical portion of recovery from substance addiction. It is the time in which the person’s health is most at risk, and the chances of relapse and severe depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts may occur.
In general, medically-assisted is safer and more comfortable for the client. In addition, transfer to an inpatient treatment center is easier. more efficient, and allows staff to more fully understand the scope and nature of the client’s addiction and needed treatment program.
